8) But what does it say? The word is near you, even in your mouth, and in your heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9) That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God hath raised him from the dead, you shall be saved.
10) For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11) For the scripture says, Whosoever believes on him (Christ) shall not be ashamed.
12) For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
GOOD NEWS INDEED!
1) Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try (test) the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2) Here is how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3) And every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof you have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
4) You are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
5) They are of the world: therefore they speak of the world, and the world hears them.
6) We are of God: he that knows God hears us; he that is not of God hears not us. Hereby we know (the difference between) the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
